We're sort of all here this time as we try our best to fit a podcast between our not-so-cooperative schedules.
We discuss the PAX Prime schedule and where we'll be talking/presenting and just some of the panels we want to check out. Jon hasn't played anything and Nathan continues to try out many PC ports of older games; including GTA San Andreas and Far Cry 2. Sean talks about his time with Syndicate, Microsoft Flight and finishing Pokemon Conquest.
A bunch of news happened! More characters for PlayStation All-Stars have been revealed, a release date for L4D's Cold Water DLC, info on Dawnguard coming to other consoles and LittleBigPlanet Karting. We also discuss Star Wars the Old Republic going almost entirely free to play and the new PlayStation Collections brand.

Jon's computer crashes so we get a big issue with the audio (and the ending) this week. So please keep that in mind as this episode is basically being held together with duct tape.
This week Sean gushes over Pokemon Conquest, and explains why you probably wont want to play Brave. Nathan is WAY deep into Skyrim and I'm really surprised he even stopped to record this episode and Jon plays a bit more Lollipop Chainsaw as well as Mighty Switch Force and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.
As for the news, we discuss last week's Nintendo Direct conference along with the announcement of the 3DS XL. We also talk about Saint's Row's next game, Okami HD, Far Cry 3's delay and much, much more!

It's the weekend before everything starts and Nathan and Sean are here with what they played, the news already coming out from E3 and what they want to see announced, shown and whatever else at the convention.

Over the last week Sean finished Asura's Wrath along with its first piece of DLC and started up Skyward Sword again; Jon played more Kid Icarus as well as some older games which I can't really remember the names of. After a week of post-convention illness and work woes, we are back with another helping of video-game-related anecdotes and news. Kicking it off, the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo was last week, so Sean, Jon and Nathan summarize their highlights from Western Canada’s BIGGEST nerd-friendly expo (so…many…bronies). Then they go over the pros and cons of “Indie Game: The Movie” before it is revealed that Nathan has a great dislike of Space Viking Wizards and, by proxy, the films in which they are prominently featured.
Then it’s on to games, including the indie darlings Fez (oft-discussed but still beloved) and Lone Survivor, along with the first episode of the excellent (thus far) “Walking Dead” series. Jon finally finished Kid Icarus Uprising alongside some of that hot new title Mario Kart 7. Sean polished of Suda 51’s critical hit Shadows of the Damned (ahem…boners) and then spent some time with Asura in an effort to sort out his rage issues. More on that situation as it develops.
On the news front, Sony decided it liked Nintendo’s Smash Bros. series so much they wanted to make a tribute to it using their characters, so we speculate about who should and shouldn’t be included (bit late to that party I know but it is a conversation that had to be…had). Some whispers of eagerly anticipated sequels are in the air, but that is all tempered by some odd decisions the majors are making in regards to E3. First off, no price will be announced for the Wii-U. Second, Valve we be in attendance but…who knows why as they don’t wish to announce anything. At all. Not even the hotly anticipated Richochet 2. Oh yes, and you know those Call of Duty games? They are going to make another one this year and it is scheduled to come out in November. There’s a twist with this one though. ROBOTS! So Nathan is all the way onboard.
All that and another pile of your questions on this week’s episode of, the Top Down Perspective.

It's a long one this week since we got a million questions sent into us - which is great! Jon's been playing some 3DS downloadable games while Sean tries out more shitty Kinect Fun Labs games, L.A. Noire DLC, Mass Effect 3's new multiplayer DLC and plays through all of Fez. Nathan returns from his road trip which means more WTF.
As for news, Prey 2 is still alive, Nintendo held an event in Japan an announced a number of things, Darksiders 2 gets delayed, Halo 4 gets a release date and a WHOLE BUNCH MORE. YAY!

As for the content. Sean, Nathan and Game Guiders' and Media Monks co-host Paul Fleck gather to discuss all things Mass Effect 3. We talk about how we played, what we chose, who we let live and die and, of course, our feelings on the endings.
