Top Down Perspective 01/09/22

Sean is gone to PAX this week so Paul and Jon hold down the fort. Jon has been playing Rolling Thunder 3 from the Genesis days in his spare time and showing off Demon Throttle (the last physical-only release in this day and age) and a cool tower defense game called ORX while Paul finishes Cult of the Lamb and plays a bunch of Fortnite.
Paul reached out to the audience this week to send him all the news they wanted and we run down a bunch of stuff, including a new Assassin's Creed is going to be shown soon, Shovel Knight Dig is out in a month and Ubisoft is trying to keep people happy, amongst many, many, many, many other topics.

Cult of the Lamb is the big game this week and we're all playing it. Paul also checks out Rumbleverse and Kirby's Dream Buffet. Sean is playing Rollerdrome and Multiversus's first season.
With news we get some interesting Xbox/Game Pass sales numbers revealed, Death Stranding might be coming to PC Game Pass, more unfortunately allegations about Nintendo, and Dead Island 2 pops up again somehow.

Evo happened this weekend and we quickly chat about some of the highlights we heard and saw. After, Sean gets angry at Multiversus players, and also checks out Eiyuden Chronicle and Citizen Sleepers new DLC. Paul is diving back into Dead by Daylight. Jon tries out Rogue Legacy 2 on his Steam Deck as well as Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth: Record of Lodoss War.

Mario Kart 8 adds maps, Meta Quest adds price, Annapurna adds games and GTA 6 adds women while destroying bad work conditions. Also Papers, Please is getting released on mobile devices.
