In honor of our 50th episode we get the WORST technical difficulties we've encountered so far. BUT! Nathan demands this broken as hell show be published so I apologize in advance for Sean broken as ASS audio (luckily only for about a third of it).
On the bright side Sean talks about finishing Mass Effect and the disappointment that is Pinnacle Station. He and Jon also played Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Jon also starts up Bionic Commando Rearmed (for whatever dumb reason) along with some GameBoy game. Nathan finishes (and falls in love with) Ghost Trick, goes back to the SPLENDOR that is Burnout Paradise along with some The Godfather 2.
On the news front we have some possible additional DLC for Mass Effect 2. Telltale announces a The Walking Dead and Fables game along with a sequel to Puzzle Agent. DoubleFine announces that they're making a Sesame Street game and we discuss long and hard about the merit of the Dead Island trailer.
Also, we decide to start doing some form of community game sessions. If you'd like to add either Nathan: Kraznor or Sean: Angel Gamerr (just these two for now and only 360 for now) to your friends lists we will attempt some form of community multiplayer sessions from here on out. Over the next week or so, we'll most likely be looking at Burnout Paradise to start things off.

It's Valentine's Day, so we're talking about the video games we played over the last week. And you're listening.
Jon continued with Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and (along with Nathan) tried out the new You Don't Know Jack. Nathan also finished up with his Mirror's Edge adventure, played through Stacking, went back to Dragon Age: Origins and started Ghost Trick. Sean continued his Mass Effect 1 run by muscling through all the sidequests and venturing into the game's DLC; to top it off, he plays out the iOS game Mass Effect Galaxy.
On the news end: Duke Nukem Forever gets a very limited edition, Activision cans all it's "Hero" franchises, the Sony Xperia Play phone is detailed and Fox News LOVES themselves some Bulletstorm!

Unfortunately, due to some odd technical issues, the last third of the podcast had to be cut (this included the news and emails portion of the show). Sorry for the short episode this week and the abrupt cut off ending, we will address any email questions we received on next week's show.
In terms of games, Jon is playing Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 while Nathan plays through Wolfenstien, wraps up Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect 2 and relives some Mirror's Edge. As for Sean, he wraps up Professor Layton and the Unwound Future and dives head first into the first Mass Effect.

It’s a four man show this week with Pixel Response’s own Paul Fleck joining the regular crew for some gabbin’ bout games (one of Nathan’s early ideas for a name for this very podcast, fun fact). Various games have been played including s’more of that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, more Pac-Man CE DX and a dash of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for good measure. Not to mention Pitfall II: The Lost Caverns marking Game Room’s return to awesomeness. No seriously, there are actually quality Game Room games on the way. As to why, no one truly knows but we speculate a bit. Also, Sean has officially fallen head over heels in love with ilomilo, an adorable little indie game that is worth jumping through some weird hoops to purchase. Oh, and Paul played Black Ops, so apparently the servers are still up for that one.
Then we tackle some news, starting off with some bizarre casting decisions on the upcoming Uncharted film. In short, we ain’t happy. We also examine some Mass Effect 2 stats, catch up with Axl Rose and all the wonderful things he’s been doing, and discuss some happenings regarding Sonic 4, the upcoming Elder Scrolls V, and Nintendo’s CES plans. All that and some random discussions along the way on this week’s Top Down Perspective.

Despite a smashed up arm, Sean joins Jon and Nathan to share his thoughts on some of this season’s big titles, such as Fable III and Criterion’s latest, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. All three of us managed to log some time with Pac Man Championship Edition DX (Deluxe?) and we gush over it thoroughly, perhaps to excess (you decide). In addition, we can safely say that Kirby loves him some cake, Vin Diesel loves him some explosions and Jon loves him some obscure NES games. The Tester continues to fill up our PS3 hard-drives as episode 3 hit this past week.
While Sean wanders off in search of medical assistance, Jon and Nathan go over what news there was this past week, including some strange requests from the Canadian military, Portal 2’s completely unsurprising delay, Bizarre Creations’ current woes and the upcoming Spike VGA nominees. All this and more (well, not much more) on this week’s episode of the Top Down Perspective!

Call of Duty: Black Ops is here! Sadly, none of the core crew has played it, but never you mind because we managed to drag Dustin away from the game long enough to share his thoughts while enduring Sean’s sarcastic barbs. We also discuss other recent releases such as Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage, a batch of Kinect titles and Fallout: New Vegas (what? it’s still newish!). Then we (well, Jon and I), tackle some news, including Viacom’s plans to sell off Harmonix, the top-selling consoles in the U.S. (at least according to Nintendo’s market research guys) and the M-rated Fight Night Champion. All this and more on this special, extra late episode of the Top Down Perspective!

Also, the Just Cause movie gets a screen writer, the 3DS gets a release date and price for Japan and Gears of War 3 gets pushed back until Fall 2011. Last, NBA Elite 11 also gets pushed back but who cares cause NBA Jam is getting an individual release now.
